15,814,538 posts indexed under a community tag system
No account required, with comments and a forum for taggers
Terms, contact and DMCA pages linked in the footer

The number printed at the top is 15,814,538 posts, and that is the whole argument. Rule34.xxx is not trying to have a personality; it is an index of essentially everything drawn, rendered or animated, searchable through a tag system the community itself maintains, argues over and corrects.

The interface is four links — Posts, Comments, Forum, My Account — and that sparseness is deliberate. No account is needed to browse, comments and a forum exist for the people who care about tagging accuracy, and Terms of Service, Contact and DMCA pages sit in the footer where they belong.

The trade is explicit. What you get is coverage and speed rather than curation: nothing is recommended to you, and finding anything means already knowing the tag for it. For anyone who thinks in tags, this is the reference point everything else in the category is measured against.
