JustUsBoys Review

The first thing published is a change of policy, in plain words: because of recent court rulings on adult content, viewing it here will require logging in, so please register. It then anticipates the practical snags — disable your VPN to register, keep a real email address on the account, disposable addresses will not work — which is the kind of thing most sites let people discover through failure.

The board underneath is busy in a way few forums still are, with replies timestamped in minutes across dozens of sections and post counts in the hundreds on individual threads. The organising idea is unusual too: boards are grouped by how safe for work they are, with a mostly-safe tier and an explicitly not-safe tier, rather than purely by subject.

Beyond the adult material there is a whole community here — stories, coming out, entertainment, politics — which is what a message board of this age accumulates. It is dense, it assumes familiarity, and the login requirement will put off casual visitors. What it offers in exchange is people talking to each other rather than a feed.
