Since 1998 is a long time for anything on the web, and the shape of this index shows the accumulation. Performers are split into women, men and trans performers as equal branches rather than one category plus two footnotes, there are separate routes for newest, most followed, top rated and by country, and the interface runs in seven languages.

The commercial side is handled unusually honestly. Video-on-demand titles carry actual prices, printed to the cent rather than concealed behind a join button, and discounts are listed as a section of their own. Around the index sit news, interviews and a coming-soon list, so the site functions as a trade paper as much as a directory.

Two things hold it back. Several dated editorial items on the front page run a year or more old, which makes the news function look thinner than it is, and a lot of commercial modules stack up before you reach the performer index itself. The index underneath remains one of the broadest anywhere.
