Danbooru Review

The board every other one descends from, and it still behaves like the original: Posts, Notes, Artists, Tags, Pools, Wiki and Forum, with millions of images filed under thousands of community-maintained tags.

Notes and Pools are what separate it. Notes allow translation overlays on a page of manga, and Pools keep multi-page works in order, so this is an index that can carry a story rather than only a picture. The tag syntax supports exclusion — the front page shows guro, scat and furry being filtered out of a default view — and artist pages give credit where the boards below it often do not.

An account unlocks the full tag limit and a paid Gold tier sits above that. The interface translates, comments work, and the footer carries no takedown route. For anime art specifically, this is the one the others are copies of.
